Grandmother RUN OVER by Georgia DFACS

We live in northeast Georgia. My daughter dropped off her five-and-a-half-year-old son with me in 2000. When I went to court to ask for deprivation. I found myself in a whirl of trouble. I received custody in one county and upon moving to another county all #*%^ broke loose.

My grandson whose mother became a drug addict and his father who is now serving life in prison for setting a store clerk on fire when he decided to rob the store (in which the child witnessed at 3) has had a TERRIBLE lying problem since. We could watch him do something wrong and confront him & he would say: I did not do that. This child needed help than and still does.

When I started to seek counseling for him I was told that I was unfit- due to my age and recently separated (after 25 years of marriage). The county in which I was given custody by ordered the Hall County to bring this child for an evaluation- THEY DID NOT. Instead they came to our home after the child had been to a water park and scratched his eye and told his teacher that it was done at home, to do an investigation. Took pictures of our home; looked at the pictures from the park; (stayed five hours); talked to neighbors, family & friends & decided "The case would be closed".

They sent the closed case letter. Two days later- they pulled the child from my home and gave him to another county- in which they put him on Concerta (without permission) and finally admitted him into Georgia Rehab hospital (without notifying the family) Hall county let my son get custody of him and he is still the same.

Constant lying. He recently went to school and told his teacher he had holes in his walls; no windows; no heat; no food (it's a brand new home). Hall county DFACS has arrived again. While he was in custody with Gwinnett County (two weeks) he was in 17 foster homes; none of the foster parents could allow his lies, so the courts (Hall County) do have that history but refuse to look/accept it. Not only does Hall County DFACS have their own laws/rules, Hall County courts do also.

DFACS is threatening again. Even though they themselves know this child has a history of lying - THEY "REFUSE" TO GET HELP FOR THIS CHILD AND "REFUSE" TO HELP MY SON GET HIM HELP. They say: children don't lie (they witnessed his room- no holes; no broken/missing windows; TONS of food in the pantry; and warm enough that that DFACS idiot had to remove her long sleeve shirt.

WHAT IS WRONG HERE? WHAT ARE THOSE PEOPLE TRYING TO DO WITH THE KIDS THAT ARE LIKE THIS? They are just telling them- it's ok to lie. Don't listen to your parents. There needs to be something done about these people. I'm not for people who break bones or leave scars on children BUT I ALSO DON'T BELIEVE IN LYING especially at such an early age (since 3- now 10; and just getting worse with no hope in sight)
