I've been a monitor of CPS in Virginia for fifteen
years. They are nothing more than liars. I've managed
to fight them and win in the past, however I've watched
them cower frightened domestic violence victims to stay
in their abusive relationships, or they would take the

I am lost without my kids and was told to get over it,
that it wasn't the end of the world, by the CPS worker
that took my kids. My son, 8, has bipolar and beats me,
has burned me, and so on. I asked for help and made the
mistake of saying "I'm scared I'm goin to hurt him".
They took him and my four-year-old and put a protection
order — I can't see them at all — and
placed my son with his dad and his brother who raped a
girl in front of him. But I'm a danger, yeah. What a
system, huh?

of today november 19, 2006 I'm still fighting. My case
is now in the Virginia court of appeals and the boys are
still in two different foster homes. I'm willing to

We need help finding a public relations firm in Northern Virginia who
can help us launch a media campaign to expose the unfair way that
Arlington County Child and Family Services have treated us by taking our
infant daughter from us based on false charges that I, the mother, have
Aspergers Syndrome, and am unfit to care for a child. Our lawyers have
finally given a tentative go ahead for us to have public relations help,
in publicizing this case, and hopefully attracting legal and logistical
help, maybe to bring political pressure to bear and to maybe appeal for
a legal defense fund, donations to help us out from the public at large.

We need to make CPS workers prove they are doing their
job. They come and go in their own vehicle. Their
supervisor are unaware they are not making housecalls
but are preparing reports as if they are. They make up
the stories as they go. I know from experience.

I just wanted to add myself to this because I felt that it is a way for
people to speak out on the system and especially what is going on here.
I think that the system in Virginia needs to be rectified and I do not
know if things are ever going to change. They took my kids on a
supposed housekeeping issue. They said that my house was not clean
enough to their standards. Then when they finally did take my kids into
the system that is when they tried to make up stories and say that other
things happened when they did not. Or used other reasons to keep my
kids. I do not know what is wrong with our systems today. They are
supposed to protect innocent minors and adults that are good citizens
and instead the good ones are the ones that are having the difficulties.
My kids are with foster parents that I do not believe beat them but I do
not honestly think that they are in the best of places. And that is not
saying much for them. My oldest boy wants to come home and I can not
fathom why they will not let them considering I have done what they have
asked of me only to be given more. My kids were removed in Sept. 02'
and in April 04' they did an involuntary TPR and I am not understanding
how they can legally do that especially when I am not a danger to these
kids. My main question now is if someone knows of any help they can
provide. And also if there is a difference between foster parents and
adoptive parents.? My kids were placed with foster parents (as they
say) and then they are the ones adopting them. So aren't there foster
parents and then adoptive parents? Don't they place them in one home
and take them out of that one and put them in another.? I am not quite
understanding how this works!! IF ANYONE HAS INFO THEN PLEASE FEEL FREE

I am joining due to the corruption that surrounds the CPS in Prince
Edward and Lunenburg County Virginia. I have a 5 year old great niece
who has told of sexual abuse and they have did nothing. Lots more to
the story. Her mother is disabled and on SSI due to low income and

We really need help here. I am trying to do something here, but I am
only one person. Everyone I know is involved with CPS and can't talk
now. Understandable so, but when they locked my daughter up and took my
granddaughters I vowed they might do that, but they would never shut me
up. And I have been like a broken record since. I write everyone, as
often as I can. I am my daughter's Power of Attorney so I get all the
information I want, from who I want and the lawyers, social services,
doctors and Casa worker have to live with it. I love to be a nuisance.
I have to say it becomes me. If I could gather up people in the same
position as I am, we would declare war here. I have came a long way
since my daughter was incarcerated. It only goes to show what strength
you have. I remember the first week, I was on the couch, almost in an
irreversible coma. I could not figure out how I would make it without
her and the babies. Then I guess fight or flight kicked in (or maybe
both of them) and I knew I had to fight to keep the babies and help free
my daughter. Thanks for listening, and letting me join. Glad to be

I really need concrete help fighting these bastards. Is there such
thing as a lawyer that will actually do her job in Virginia? ...not
worry about her social standing; or upsetting the applecart? I've been
falsely accused because I told a CPS supervisor to go back into her
office and shuffle some more papers. Now my kids all have protective
orders against me. I've been convicted of abuse w/o ever having the
chance to defend myself. I'm now facing 12 months in prison for 'not
cooperating with CASA'. (I told her supervisor she was not to enter my
home again without first knocking, and that she was to identify herself
as a CASA worker, not as my kids "grandma", as she had done to my
babysitter). LAWYER REFERRAL NEEDED PLEASE!!!

I recently divorced and due to my ex taking our children and preventing
me from seeing them for a year, he was awarded custody to keep the
children in their "routine". It is currently being appealed, but in the
meantime, I feel the non-custodial parental rights in Virginia need to
be re-evaluated. My ex refuses to give me information on where my
children are in daycare in order for me to ensure they are in a safe
environment and progressing in their developmental learning. There is
also a need for a specific and liberal visitation guideline for the
non-custodial parent that the courts are required to use instead of each
judge selecting the visitation guideline. As it stands, I will never
again be able to enjoy waking up Christmas morning with my children's
excitement to open their gifts. I will always have to pick them up
Christmas afternoon.

My brother was convicted on a child sexual abuse charge.
He was convicted in a small town and had an attorney
that knew nothing, did nothing, and so many mistakes
were made and stories changed that it was like a night
mare. No one seems to be able to help unless you have a
lot of money. Everyone we talk to or have shown the
transcripts to, just laugh and say they have seen it all
before.

I learned of this site through Tammy Goodson. I believe the majority of
this world is corrupt. I started out researching law simply for the
fact they count on the ignorance of people. I have really learned a lot
due to having access to the law books. I really didn't know anything
about computers until researching some codes and ran across a lot of
other things I was ignorant about. I live in a small town and the law
will do whatever they have to get people. It seems that they have more
time to focus on a certain group of people. I am looking forward to
learning more so maybe I can help others that are in need, because as I
said "Ignorance makes things easier for them to manipulate to get what

helps low income families pay utilities, rent, mortgage and house
repairs. I try to tell all people who come in there about the
corruption in our local agencies. I, at first, was told by my boss that

Hi, I am in Virginia. My husband I went to court, only then were the
kids not allowed to return home. My husband and I thought it would be a
good idea to send them to stay with grandparents, until we got things
back on track with the marriage or I figured out a place to go, before
summer ended and school started. Before, we sent them NEVER was any
temporary or permanent custody was talked about, not even by the Social
Worker. She told the grandparents that she had NOTHING to remove the
kids. If the worker had mentioned anything about any kind of custody, I
would not have let them STAY with their grandparents. My son's
grandparents were then told that if they allowed my son to return home,
he would go to fostercare. She then proceeded to say they HAD to file a
petition for custody, they did under the threat, by the social worker,
that if they didn't, my son would go to foster care immediately. This
worker, has insulted both us, defamed and slandered us numerous times,
and has misrepresented herself in many ways, in order to try to build a
case against us.
